Street Scenes

Here are some post-storm photos from the Upper West Side of Manhattan.  These were taken earlier this afternoon, when I seemed to be doing what everyone else was doing — walking down Broadway to see what there was to see.

The attention getter was the dangling crane on 7th Avenue, seen here from Columbus Circle

 

People were transfixed on the sight.  Even the police officers on patrol to keep people away.  

 

 

 

Blocks around were taped up like a crime scene.  

 

Around the perimeter camera crews and people with cameras and smartphones were all recording the scene.
